Saxophonist and composer JesseCollins is a musical artist and lifelong professional musician dedicated to the art form popularly known as jazz. He has performed and recorded since the early 1990’s. From NYC to Europe, to Upstate NY and through out the USA, he has played with some of the legends of Jazz. His music is rooted in the concepts of Charlie Parker and John Coltrane, as well as in the music and concepts of his personal teachers Sam Rivers, Lee Konitz and Jaki Byard.

His first recording “Introducing Jesse Collins” (Lat Cat Records) was a Jazz Times Magazine “critics pic top 10” for 2003. In 2011, “Jesse Collins Trio-Ask Me Now”(Real Bean Records) was nominated for 2011 Syracuse Jazz record of the year(SAMMY award). In 2014, “Jesse Collins Quartet-Free to be Free”(Real Bean Records) was voted the winner of the 2014 Syracuse Jazz recording of the year(SAMMY award).
